The Rev. Dr. Neal Carter
About Pastor Neal:
Dr. Neal Carter has been Senior Pastor at Rocky River Presbyterian Church since March 2016. He has come back home to Cabarrus County. Prior to his return to the area, he served three churches in North Carolina: in Beulaville, Mocksville, and Laurinburg. He is a graduate of the Duke Divinity School and Princeton Theological Seminary. Neal and his wife Deb have one adult daughter. They enjoy travel and music. Neal enjoys riding his mountain bike and playing guitar in local gigs and at church.
Neal is grateful for the privilege of returning home and serving this congregation in the heart of Cabarrus County. Building upon a wonderful foundation that spans over 265 years, his vision for RRPC is that we will be a welcoming community of faith that worships with joy, serves gladly, and seeks in all that we do to glorify God. His motto is “There’s always room for one more.”
Welcome to Rocky River Presbyterian Church!
Rocky River Presbyterian Church is a historic Christian community that gladly welcomes people to journey with us in a transformational faith experience. Our vision for ministry is to provide opportunities for worship, Bible study, prayer, fellowship and service as we seek to address individual, local and world needs. We affirm that God is at work in our midst and that the love of Christ is transformative and redemptive. We believe that the Holy Spirit is ever renewing our hearts, minds and lives. As we journey together in this faith community, we hope to discover, develop and share our gifts as we answer the call to faithful discipleship.
