The Learning Your Bible class will begin September 8th during the Sunday School hour in Room 204 of the Education building. All children in grades 3-5 are invited to attend these classes to learn more about the Bible. In this class, children will become comfortable with using the Bible, so that they may read it at home, and follow along in worship services. It will be an interesting six weeks of classes led by Sharon Vanpelt. Be sure to bring your child with his or her Bible beginning Sunday, September 8th or join in at any time!
Game Night has become a fun Friday night tradition at RRPC. Young and old members alike come out to play a friendly game of cards, or their favorite board game. All you have to bring is your favorite game, a snack to share and your competitive spirit! Invite your neighbors and friends for some good clean fun!

The boxes will be available in the vestibule on October 13th along with a complete list of what is acceptable to pack. We will not have a packing party this year, and are asking everyone to pack their own boxes. Please return your boxes no later than November 3rd so we can get them to the fulfillment center on time.
Help us share the message of the gospel and bless the children that will receive these boxes.
Theology on Tap with Neal is held at Percent Tap House in Harrisburg. Come and enjoy a lively discussion centered around life and theology. All are welcome!!
The men's breakfast is normally held the third Sunday of each month at 9:00am. This is a time for fellowship between the men (young and old) of the congregation. The food is great and the company even better. What a great way to start to your Sunday! Please join us!
This clinic is available for anyone interested in experiencing a relaxing, 30-minute session to restore your balance and energy. Most of the evaluations of previous clinics have rated the experience as a valuable one and most enjoyable. The clinic is held both on Wednesday afternoons, and monthly on the 3rd Sunday of each month and is open to the public. You can read more about Healing Touch at www.healingtouchprogram.com
It is helpful to the practitioners to have an idea how many to prepare for, so please continue to use the sign-up sheet for the 30 minute sessions on Sunday, and call Julie Alexander for an appointment on Wednesday afternoon: 704-455-9753, or 704-579-0781.
Julia Alexander continues to offer mini sessions during the Farmer’s market, and by appointment during the week.
Healing Touch is open to the public, so please invite your friends and neighbors to try it!
Donations to the building fund will be accepted.
This month we will be reading If the Creek Don’t Rise by Leah Weiss. In a North Carolina mountain town filled with moonshine and rotten husbands, Sadie Blue is only the latest girl to face a dead-end future at the mercy of a dangerous drunk. She’s been married to Roy Tupkin for fifteen days, and she knows now that she should have listened to the folks who said he was trouble. But when a stranger sweeps in and knocks the world off-kilter for everyone in town, Sadie begins to think there might be more to life than being Roy’s wife.
As stark and magnificent as Appalachia itself, If the Creek Don’t Rise is a bold and beautifully layered debut about a dusty, desperate town finding the inner strength it needs to outrun its demons. The folks of Baines Creek will take you deep into the mountains with heart, honesty, and homegrown grit.
We always welcome new readers! Please join us in the church parlor at 7pm on Monday, October 28 for our discussion and plans for 2019.
Invite your friends and neighbors to join us for Trunk or Treat! We are looking for people to decorate and park their cars near the grove, dress in Halloween costumes and pass out candy to our trick or treaters! We had some very creative decorations last year and a great turnout from the community. Let’s show people in the community what RRPC has to offer and let’s have some fun!!
If you would like to participate by decorating your car and handing out candy please let Cyndi know so we can reserve the parking spots! This event is open to the public so spread the word!
If you would like to donate candy for this event just bring it to the office!
